The only folks who are engaged at mass hiring are federal law enforcement branches who are swelling their ranks to deal with rising crime and for deployment to the two wars the US is engaged in. Most private offices are halting hiring, even trimming their established workforces to save on labor costs. There are openings but they are harder to come by through conventional means.
